“While growing up, I only dreamt of screaming action on a film set. After working in the industry for over four years, I have realized that storytelling is the strongest form of communication. You get to express your emotions and also make a statement. There’s a little bit of you in every film.

I predominantly work as a writer, director and producer. I have crafted about 11 short films of my own. Script supervising is my next favorite thing to do on set. People don’t realise the importance of having a script supervisor but we largely contribute in bringing a directors vision to life. I have worked as a script supervisor on over 30 short films and 2 features.

“Born and raised in Kochi, I realized I wanted to write and direct movies when I discovered the art of filmmaking during my undergrad in Pune.

For me, filmmaking is an opportunity to explore the complexities of human emotions and relationships, to entertain the audience with drama that make people feel seen and heard, creating an experience for the audience to escape to, just for a while.

Cinema is a powerful source of media and I believe we have to be socially responsible with it's voice while making it entertaining.”-NIMISHA
